Bryan Purcell is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC).  He specializes in individual counseling for adolescents and adults.

Bryan has worked for an outpatient community mental health clinic for the past 10 years, the last 8 of which he has served as a licensed counselor.  In addition to outpatient counseling, he has experience in medical based counseling and assessment, crisis counseling and intervention, management and counselor supervision.  Bryan has extensive experience working with depression, anxiety, anger, self-harm, impulse control, stress management/prevention and trauma; and he has recently obtained additional training and experience in treating substance abuse. 

Bryan’s approach to counseling is collaborative, as he as he first invests the time to get to know his client, and then, works to identify goals that are personal and meaningful.  Bryan strives to view the client from a holistic perspective i.e. he understands that we are all spiritual, physical, social, emotional and vocational beings who are affected and influenced by family, social, economic, cultural and historical factors.  It is in this context that Bryan joins the client in identifying strategies to promote health and wellness.
